Opposing Corruption is equivalent to Opposing Government1 . Delhi Police arrested Anna Hajare and sent him to Tihar jail for 7-days custody. So now Anna Hajare will enjoy the dais with heavy-weight politicians like Suresh Kalmadi of CWG scam fame and A Raja and Kanimojhi of 2G scam fame. The case against Anna Hajare is of being possible threat to the people and property of Delhi as his agitation against the government may go violent irrespective of his claim of being a peaceful protestor who wants to revolt against the corrupt political system. Often politicians offer a flase choice between liberty and security and assert that if you want to remain free of terrorist attacks, genocides and unnecessary uproar, you need to remain under surveillance and you have to obey the irrational rules dictated by the government and the police. Almost every Indian is protesting against the ill-moves of Delhi government under the orders of politicians. However, same protest wasn’t registered when the police commissioner of Delhi on July 15th claimed that Delhi is safe for women and if a …Read the Rest

Today, Congress accused Anna Hajare and said that the letter he wrote to Prime Minister didn’t seem like a Gandhian pacifist letter. Anna Hajare rightly responded that he is surely very much influenced by Mahatma Gandhi but he also knows Chatrapati Shivaji. The real issue is about the freedom of expression of an individual. Can congress really accuse anyone for expressing negative opinion about the Prime Minister? Will government culminate the individual’s right and freedom of speech if common men start criticizing against the government? What will they do tomorrow when a huge number of people raise their voices against the corrupt and tyrant government when Anna Hajare will begin his Anshan? Will they attack the peaceful protesters just like they attacked the peacefully sleeping people in Ramleela Maidan at midnight on 4rth of June? Nothing is impossible, this time the government knows that people are more determined than ever and hence government may order for curfew in Delhi and shoot at sight like orders. Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari also accused Anna Hajare of being a corrupt and claimed that …Read the Rest

While situations become typically bad on inner city roads, the outer roads connecting various villages and towns from the main city suffer much more issues. Rs 332.45 crores were spent to improve and beautify Delhi roads before Common Wealth Games 2010. It is obvious that Delhi roads are much beautiful now than they were ever before. However, there are many sub-standard roads in Delhi which are in shambles at present when rain is pouring up all the road ditches and holes heavily. According to CAG report, public funds totaling 101.02 crores were wasted in streetscaping and beautification of roads. This money could have been used to provide a new 94 km two-lane highway with paved shoulder between Delhi and Panipat. It shows that government is simply incapable to provide a better, beautiful, sustainable and long lasting road system for those 35% villages of India which is still far away from any proper road system. Most of the Indian roads are unsafe and improper and it is hard to believe that government will be able to provide better roads ever. While it is also quite evident that politicians and government officials will keep robbing public funds collected by aggressive tax systems and will keep embezzling the …Read the Rest
