Recently, I got a critical comment from a fellow Indian against my blog post in which I explained how taxation is robbery (Tax Evasion in India). The comment was How can you think like this? What is a government? Govt. asks tax not for their needs but for your needs. If you are not paying taxes, then you have no right to blaim government for poor roads, trafic, etc. You got it. Shame on you Guy! People like you are a burden for country Obviously, he (who calls himself as ‘The True Indian’ do not like the idea of paying taxes, obviously, he doesn’t understand what are taxes. While I will suggest him to read this exclusive post which explains what Taxes are, let us analyze his comment here. He says everyone who is not paying taxes in India is a burden on India. Now see this, every Indian, including me, is forced to pay Sales Taxes and other Indirect taxes because we have no option. We are forced to pay Indirect taxes like Inflation and Price Rise …Read the Rest

Science and the Government
One of the moral questions that arise whenever we talk about liberty and self-ownership is the liberation of science from the grips of the state or the government. The common belief is; state helps in creating new things and improving the scientific technology. However, it is a false claim and often it has been observed that the private sector is the working horse behind technology and innovation, and this is true for science. On the other hand, the public sector produces nothing and charges us large for it. Well, it was a hyperbole, but I understand how much more efficient private sector is as opposed to public sector. It is not very difficult to explain and express. Let us take the examples of public sector in India which includes electricity and water supply to their houses. Telephones were also public sector services till 1991 and during that period only rich and very few people could afford telephones. How can we forget the special STD PCO booths far away from our houses where we used to visit to call to someone …Read the Rest
Why India is not a World Leader?
So there was a discussion about why India cannot lead. Most of them said because India or Indians lack innovation or originality, they said Indians prefer to follow up. They further mentioned the Golden era about Aryabhatta, Banbhatta and so on. Let me put things in right perspective, first of all, innovation or invention or originality in arts/literature etc is possible in any situation but it is certainly encouraged when the “people” are free. I mean, why and how will a person or say a student would like to invest his time in researching, developing, producing new ideas, theories, objects or stories when his first responsibility is to attain a proper means of survival? Innovation and originality in arts and literature also demands capital, Indian minds never got enough business angels to invest in their ideas. Why do you think people like Rajiv Gupta, Vinod Dahm, Sabeer Bhatia, Arun Netravali, Sanjay Tejwrika, Victor Menezes, Rajat Gupta, and Rana Talwar and many others left India and opted to settle in US? While they had the potential to be the most innovative, …Read the Rest
The Myth of Corruption Making India Poor
Anna Hajare raised the slogan against corruption in favor of his Janlokpal Dream and almost every Indian felt the energy of anti-corruption waves. Similar synergy was shown by Indians when Swami Ramdev raised his voice against the black money1 deposited in Swiss Banks. Everyone was worried about the huge amount of Indian money deposited in Swiss banks like UBS. However, very few people realized that bringing black money back in Indian economy will certainly increase the current inflation manifolds and goods, food articles and other daily need commodities will go further high. Thus, that black money if brought back will cause more poverty2 and troubles for poor and middle class family. Obviously, Indians fail to understand that money although is a form of Capital; basically it is nothing but a means to exchange goods and commodities. They also ignore that our currency is Fiat currency which can be easily inflated by the government to raise prices. This is the reason why government doesn’t print money just to distribute it to poor people. Yet, government does use their printing press in …Read the Rest
