The issue of social justice arises when people forget that society is just a human construct, a false premise; while the real person is the ‘individual.’ The whole concept of justice is dependent on reality of Individual and his inalienable individual rights that are objectively based on natural laws and are defined by the concepts of non aggression principle and self-ownership. Obviously, instead of supporting and approving Individual freedom, the proponents of ‘social justice’ call for slavery of all under the moral obligation of altruism and then begins the unending story of exploitation of individuals on the name of egalitarianism.
Politicians, government, or the ruling class realize the fact that they cannot rule free individuals, that the government and free individuals are contradictory; either government can exist, or free individuals. Hence, they conspire against the very notion of freedom and the best way to do so is to alienate individual from other individuals. They initiate the issue of class wars, caste struggles and social injustice. They create tensions and instigate man against men; they create groups out of individuals and stage group wars. The innocent individuals often get meshed in these political conspiracies of vote banks and instead of protecting themselves against the State, the common enemy, individuals struggle for their hypothetical groups. They forget the truth that individuals live by production, but the politicians live by exploitation and appropriation. This whole mishap creates the situation of chaos and the wealthy and deprived start struggling for the existing wealth. On the other hand, the State improves itself at the expense of both, the politicians fill their money bags while robbing both.
Politicians or the State and bureaucracy aren’t the only villains, evil requires sanction of victims. Because of their own laziness, cowardice and tendency to rely on free gifts, a large part of society gladly accepts slavery while ignoring the value of freedom and power of their own mind to lead free life without any external guidance. Politicians are certainly the parasites, yet; they camouflage themselves as the guardian, protector, savior, and well-wisher of individuals and convince them to believe that they are being oppressed by other individuals and hence, they must accept slavery as the ruler, the government will protect them against oppression. Human is selfish by nature and more than often, instead of accepting the notions of rational self-interest, self-reliance, self-dependence, self-rule, and self-respect, they succumb to the greed of that extra bite of butter that the government may provide them as the politicians will rob the other individuals, who are relatively more affluent, skilled, or better. Politicians, on the other hand; are true parasites. They do make poor individuals believe that they will offer social justice; however, they know that they are unable to do anything good for the oppressed; because the oppressor is the government and politicians are the advocates of the government.
It is very easy for politicians to win the trust of common people and to acclaim themselves as the representative of the masses. It is very comfortable for people to have a guardian, a ruler who will rule them towards prosperity, towards better future, towards self-reliance, emancipation and dignity. These common citizens forget that no ruler can provide prosperity for individuals because prosperity is in freedom, and not in slavery.
On 15th of August 1947, Indians faced a change in government as the British government left the office, Indian politicians grabbed the power. Nothing much changed for the downtrodden Indians except that the fact that the new regime couldn’t rule them by shear brutal force and it was required for the regime to develop new means to keep citizens within the bounds of slavery and the politicians did discovered various strings of slavery to accomplish their evil desire. Jawahar Lal Nehru became the first prime minister and he called for the emancipation of the poor Indians at the expense of the land owners. It wasn’t actually very wrong because the land owners themselves gained their capital not through honest means, but they gained it through conspiracies and fraud with the help of previous regimes and kingships of Indian states. However, that wasn’t the end of Nehru’s socialist streak as he structured the centralized system of Indian government and bureaucracy to control every aspect of Individual life. To maintain his incessant ruling power, it became necessary for him to become the most popular leader and from there came the idea of populist politics of India.
Soon he was ready to craft reservation on the name of caste and class. The idea was that the upper caste people have tormented the people of lower cast and hence there is need of social justice that can be offered by robbing the upper cast and gifting the prizes of robbery to lower caste. Same was the idea of coercive taxation regime and complete control of government over production and service industries of India.
It was deemed to fail and it failed, however, the idea of populist politics never failed. Those Indians who had every chance to revive the history and forget the ills of casteism and religionism to develop free market based on rational idea of division of labor were lured in the webs of free education, free health care, free jobs, and free life. The result was obvious, instead of developing with the advent of freedom of the nation, Indians produced much bigger number of impoverished and poor Indians and Jawahar Lal Nehru produced a whole dynasty of Nehru-Gandhi rulers.
Reservation is certainly an abrupt idea of emancipation of individuals belonging to the lower castes because their enemy wasn’t the upper caste people, but the regime that conspiratorially promoted the system of caste and religion based politics. Furthermore, one cannot emancipate a poor by giving him alms. Providing free services and products just make them more dependent and lure them to accept slavery to a deeper level. The whole socialist set up of Nehru was just to enthuse induce slavery in the minds of every Indian and that is what he achieved when with the passage of time, instead of ending the idea of reservation, politicians proposed adding more castes and tribes in the bag of impoverished groups of Indians. People obviously forgot the virtues of self-reliance, self-dependence, and self-rule and started groping for governmental protection, governmental benefits. After Nehru, his dynasty continued ruling the Indian masses and the meager opposition she felt was also from the other groups which were no better than the Congress as the other political groups also called for more socialism, more free gifts for vote banks and more restrictions on individual freedom.
Initially, the common Indians believed that appropriation and redistribution of wealth by government will solve the problems of poverty, however; that myth was broken in 1991 when the Indian government succumbed to the pressure of ill-management of economy. Even that failure provided little good sight to the politicians and now again they are propagating the same failed principles of egalitarianism by forcing irrational policies like free education for all, free health care for all, food security bill, job guarantee bill, and so on. These irrational policies aren’t actually planned for the benefits of poor people of the country, no these policies cannot help in eradicating poverty because poverty is not because of ill-distribution of wealth; poverty is because of lack of production. These socialist policies will further reduce production as it will reduce the incentive of profit to produce. By burning the feathers of producers through the fire of taxation and market interventions, government cannot expect more production and without increasing production, government cannot expect poverty reduction. However, does government really want to reduce poverty?
The answer is simply no, government is the enemy of individual freedom and economic freedom often proves to be the biggest threat for government and this is the reason why government can never agree to actually free the market and let individuals make their own destiny. The government will keep proposing more populist policies to lure vote bank and it will keep appropriating the wealth of honest and hard working people to enslave the poor and deprived individuals who could have won against all odds in a free market by their own. And the laziness and cowardice of individuals will prompt them to demand more and more out of the government treasures that are full of robbed wealth that the government got by robbing those same individuals.
No wonder the government has already started contemplating about reservation in private sector and on the other hand, even Brahmins nowadays have started demanding reservations and special privileges. Instead of ending this dirty populist politics, government has now started exploring new voter banks by promoting calls for reservation based on religion. However, people should contemplate, why reservation failed to offer any benefit for those scheduled castes and tribes that were first mentioned for special privileges? Accepting slavery doesn’t help anyone to become rich and prosperous, only freedom leads to prosperity and enlightenment.
Instead of accepting the importance of economic freedom, Indian government applied the fraud of State-Capitalism and now India is no more a socialist country, it exploits individuals through the machinery of corporatism. The poor is still poor, the rich people are gaining more riches through the help of politicians whom they support by offering huge political donations. And In return, politicians become party for the robbery of public wealth through various scams and scandals.
