Indian citizens are continuously observing a series of ripples against the atrocious environment prevailing in India that makes a woman feel helpless, weak and dependent. However, all these ripples are gradually losing the momentum to bring about any change in the societal environment of India which certainly is worrisome. She, whose name is still unknown, was raped on the dreadful night of 16th December 2012 and she died on 29th of December 2012. However, Indians welcomed the New Year 2013 with a hope that the “government” will bring about some drastic change in the Indian legal system and Indian police and protection system that will provide better security, better protection for women in Delhi and in whole India. Those hopes were battered again when the cases of sexual assaults, rapes and crimes against women, girls, and kids kept making headlines of all major newspapers and news channels continuously and gradually, the Indian citizens were ready to accept that at the most they can perform some candle-marches and some protest marches, to add up, they may burn some police vans to show off their anger, but at the end, they will have to accept that they are helpless, protection less and …Read the Rest

The Fraudulent Mix of Government, Corporate and State Bank of India
While the Indian economy is still suffering from the high inflation rate (of around 9.6% in October 2012), Indian State Bank is also going through the issues of liquidation crisis to solve which, the government recently announced a bailout package of Rs 4,000 crore to help the bank in maintaining its capital adequacy levels. It should be noted that currently, SBI is required keeping 6 per cent of their deposits in cash with the Reserve Bank of India as CRR (Cash Reserve Ratio). In addition, the State Bank is also required to keep 24% of its total deposits as SLR on which, the government pays the interest as this SLR (Statuary Liquidity Reserves which are used to provide debt funds to the government). The remaining 70% can be used by the banks to offer it to the borrowers who desire money for their personal usage and business investments. What does it means? The State Bank of India owns nothing, it is a service provider to which we deposit our money for safekeeping and protection and in return, we get a right to use our deposits at any time. That is, we give our money for the bank not to use …Read the Rest
How India is becoming a Totalitarian State A Brave New World
The futility of Nehruvian-Fabian socialism and non-violence became clear in 1975 when the nation which is said to be based on the Gandhian non-violence principle embraced extreme violence and totalitarianism under Mrs. Indira Gandhi who was said to be a champion of Gandhianism and close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. Those Indians who peacefully volunteered and refused to pay taxes to government (Salt tax, Dandi march), stopped using and circulating government’s paper money, burnt foreign cloths in favor of Khadi by will, were forced to suffer the Indian government’s tyranny, and the horrifying experiment of compulsory sterilization. It is true that government failed to debase the feeling of Individual liberty and had to take back its totalitarian motives of compulsory sterilization and was forced to end the dictatorship during emergency. However, was it a change of mind of the government, or a change of planning? Indian National Congress and the family of Nehru-Gandhi have ruled over so-called Indian democratic socialist state of India for more than 60 years since Independence in 1947. During this period, we have experienced the most draconian and despotic periods of governance and now we are facing a progressive democratic political means of disillusioned deliberations and propaganda …Read the Rest
Mockery of Right to Reject
Since a few months, the civil society is making ripples in Indian political pool. The first step was taken by Baba Ramdev who sat on an unending hunger strike on 4thof June at Ramleela Maidan and was attacked by Delhi police. After that, Anna Hajare, Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Prashant Bhushan along with other civil society members staged a hunger strike (Anshan) against the rampaging corruption running in Indian political and bureaucratic corruption. The civil society and Baba Ramdev demanded strict action against issue of black money and an immediate sanctioning of Janlokpal bill. Along with that, Anna Hajare and Arvind Kejriwal also called for Right to Reject and recently, the Election Commission of India has recommended a ‘Right to Reject’ option in polls to the Law Ministry1 . Some of the points raised by Baba Ramdev and Anna Hajare were noteworthy however, the later discussions on these issues and the way the civil society wants the issue of corruption and inefficient and unethical governance in India to be tackled suggests that these members of civil society including Baba Ramdev has no understanding of the real cause of the problems. They still believe that there is a way through …Read the Rest
